Would you like to experience an unusual New Year’s Eve in the Moroccan desert? Come celebrate the new year with us and enjoy a moment of complete disconnection, out of time to start a year in the best way.
PROGRAMME
Jour 1 : Foum Zguid - Bivouac "Le secret des dunes"
In the early afternoon, we will welcome you at Foum Zguid for a 4x4 departure on the track, old route of the Paris Dakar. We will travel the desert landscapes of stones and sand then the dry lake of Iriki to the village of Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi, right next to our bivouac, in the middle of the dunes, in a calm and wild setting.
There you will be welcomed by the welcome tea and you can relax facing the magnificent landscape that surrounds the bivouac, under the warm lights of the sunset. At nightfall, the bivouac will be lit by a thousand and one candles for a magical atmosphere, around a local meal cooked with good fresh ingredients. Outside, well covered, you can admire the stars in a bright sky and surely see shooting stars.
You will sleep in one of the large comfortable tents of the bivouac, under the blankets.
Day 2: Bivouac "Le secret des dunes" - visit of the village - dromedary ride
In the morning, after a hearty breakfast, get into the 4x4. We take you to visit our nomadic village about 20 minutes from the bivouac, at the foot of the hills of Jbel Bani. During a visit of approximately 1 hour, we will show you the life in the village, its history, its prehistoric remains and its agriculture today within the oasis: the cultivated vegetables, water management.
We will then be welcomed by a family from the village to have tea, a beautiful moment of sharing. On foot, we will continue to walk to our guest house. It is our childhood home that we have restored. A place full of charm with panoramic views over the plains. You will be welcomed there for lunch around a traditional dish, with the village vegetables.
Take the time to relax and rest. In the afternoon, we will head back towards the dunes by 4x4 to the bivouac. You will go on a camel ride to admire the sunset over the desert. A moment of poetry where time stops.
We will offer you a buffet dinner with traditional Moroccan dishes under the large restaurant tent. In the evening we will meet around the fire for a great moment of sharing in music. We will make the sounds of derboukas resonate in the dunes for a festive evening.
Jour 3 : Bivouac "Le secret des dunes" - Foum Zguid
After breakfast, we will resume the road towards Foum Zguid. We will take the opportunity to see the oasis of Laarjimia and its magnificent view of the tabular mountains of Madouar El Kbir. You will arrive at your destination in the late morning, with incredible memories on your head, ready to start the new year under the best hospices.
