New Year's Eve in the Sahara Desert

Would you like to experience an unusual New Year’s Eve in the Moroccan desert? Come celebrate the new year with us and enjoy a moment of complete disconnection, out of time to start a year in the best way.
PROGRAM
Day 1: Foum Zguid - Guesthouse "La Petite Maison du lac Iriki"
In the early afternoon, we will welcome you in Foum Zguid for a start in 4x4 on the track, former track of the Paris Dakar. We will travel through the desert landscapes of stones and sand then the dry lake of Iriki to the village of Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi, right next to our guest house.
There you will be welcomed by the welcome tea and you can relax in front of the beautiful landscape that surrounds the house, under the warm lights of the sunset.
At nightfall, the house will light up with a thousand and one candles for a magical atmosphere, around a local meal cooked with good fresh ingredients. Outside, well covered, you can admire the stars in a bright sky and surely see shooting stars.
The evening will continue with music around the percussions and traditional rhythms that transport you to the atmosphere of the desert nomads.​​
Day 2: Guesthouse - Erg El Mhazil
In the morning we will take you to visit the village located a few meters from the house where you can discover agriculture in the oasis, the marabout of Sidi Abdenabi, the historical remains.
After lunch, we will leave in the direction of the dunes on camel for a crossing of about 2 hours of the dry lake of Iriki. There you will discover the bivouac nestled in the dunes of erg El Mhazil, a place of complete calm. Take the opportunity to climb to the top of the large dune and admire the panoramic view of the sandy sea on one side and the mountains of the djbel bani in the distance. At sunset, the colors ignite the dunes and time stops.
This day was an opportunity to start the year in calm and serenity. Take the time for a break to move forward, refocus on the essentials.
In the evening we will meet around the fire for a moment of sharing then you can enjoy your first night of the year in the absolute silence of the desert, warm in the tents.

Day 3: Erg El Mhazil - Foum Zguid
After breakfast, we will take the road towards Foum Zguid. We will take the opportunity to visit the oasis of Laarjimia and its magnificent view of the tabular mountains of Madouar El Kbir.
We arrive at our destination in the late morning, incredible memories in our heads, ready to start the new year under the best hospices.
