Excursion to the oasis of Laarjimia from Foum Zguid

Discover the Laarjimia oasis, a haven of peace, for a day, to enjoy magnificent and unique landscapes in Morocco. This day trip from Foum Zguid is an opportunity to offer you a break of calm and relaxation in a grandiose nature in the company of nomads who will share their knowledge of these places with you.

Program :

In the morning, we will leave in 4x4 by the track from Foum Zguid, in the direction of the oasis located 25 km away. We will cross part of the national park of iriki, at the gates of the desert, through the ocher hills. In the distance, the tabular mountains of Djbel Madouar El Kbir (the large plateaus) are revealed, which we gradually reach, revealing the immensity of these spaces in the middle of the vast plains.

Arrived at the oasis, you can admire these mountains which are also called the colorado of the Moroccan desert. These thousand-year-old geological formations stand out against the blue sky with shapes recognizable from afar, such as the well-known tajine-shaped summit.

The oasis of Laarjimia, made up of date palms, is an important place of passage for the herds of nomads who come to drink around the well. In the shade of these palm trees, we will take the time to enjoy a delicious lunch cooked over a wood fire. You can explore the places and climb the nearest mountains to gain height with a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscapes. Take advantage of the calm of this wild environment and appreciate all the diversity of nature in unique settings.

At the end of the afternoon we will take the road to Foum Zguid where you can have dinner and discover the evening atmosphere of this charming little town.
