The Desert Experience from Foum Zguid

Departing from Foum Zguid, our guide will take you to the dunes of Erg El Mhazil to explore the magnificent desert landscapes during a night of camping. You can then enjoy the peaceful life at our charming guesthouse, La Petite Maison du Lac Iriki, for moments of relaxation and shared good vibes.

PROGRAM
Day 1: Foum Zguid - Guest House "La Petite maison du Lac Iriki"
At 2pm, you will be welcomed for a departure by 4x4 to the desert. You will leave for the great adventure on the track of the Paris Dakar for about a 2-hour journey. On the way, we will take a break near the mountains of Madouar El Kebir from the oasis that offers a splendid view of these millennial mountains. Then, we will mark a second break to show you a site of fossils, vestiges of aquatic life of the past.
Arrived at our guest house, you will be greeted with a welcome tea. You can take the time to rest facing the large expanses of nature all around the house and admire the flamboyant sunset. The dinner will be served with good fresh and cultivated ingredients nearby. You can enjoy a good night’s sleep in absolute calm.

Day 2: Guest house "La petite maison du lac Iriki" - Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi - Erg El Mhazil
After breakfast, we will go for a walk in the nomadic village located next to the guest house. It is an opportunity to see how the few remaining families live here, the vestiges of the past and the agriculture within the oasis. Then we return home for lunch. In the afternoon, it is the departure on foot or by camel towards the dunes for a hike of about 2 hours on the flat land of the dry lake of Iriki.
Arrived at the dunes, you will have time to admire the magnificent landscapes all around you, walk in the sand, take the time to be well simply before the sunset show to observe at the top of the largest dune. In the evening we will serve you a delicious tajine and you can spend the evening contemplating the starry sky. You will sleep under the large tents of the bivouac and in the silence of the desert.

Day 3: Erg El Mhazil - Foum Zguid
Early risers will be able to see the sunrise over the dunes to soak up all its energy before a good breakfast. Then, it will be time to leave towards Foum Zguid for an arrival scheduled at 11 am-12 pm approximately. You will come back with magnificent images full head and unforgettable memories.
