Depart in the morning from your hotel in Foum Zguid in a 4x4 vehicle, taking the track that leads us towards the Jbel Madouar El Kbir mountains, also known as the Moroccan Desert Colorado due to the shape of its plateaus. These imposing massifs stand out amidst the vast plains, leaving you in awe of their grandeur. We will make a stop at Laarjimia Oasis, where you can admire the mountains, enjoy the coolness under the date palm trees, and spot some animals coming to drink from the well.
Next, we will take you to the village of Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi, where our guide is from, for a visit to the oasis and its subsistence agriculture, the village, and the tomb of the Marabout Sidi Abdenabi. You can enjoy lunch at our guesthouse before heading in a 4x4 vehicle towards Jbel Bani, followed by a 45-minute walk to reach the engravings and rock paintings. You will discover this prehistoric treasure specific to this region.
Afterward, we will continue in the 4x4 towards the Erg El Mhazil dunes. Here, the Sahara Desert unveils its first fine sand dunes, offering you a moment of serenity in the face of nature's beauty.
In the late afternoon, we will return to your hotel in Foum Zguid. Along the way, we will make stops to observe fossils, remnants of ancient aquatic life.
