Tour Agadir - Tafraoute - Erg Chegaga

Departure in the morning from your hotel in Agadir where our private driver will welcome you.

You leave in the direction of the south of Agadir until Tiznit, small town specialized in the work of money and jewels, for a journey of approximately 2h. You can visit the city on foot, browse the small shops and admire the ramparts that surround the city. You can have lunch in one of the small restaurants that serve typical Moroccan dishes.

In the afternoon we continue to Tafraoute, 2h drive, in beautiful scenery, the ochre mountains of the middle atlas. You will be welcomed for 1 night in a hostel with a splendid view of the mountain, an ideal place to relax.

You will have the morning to explore Tafraoute and its surroundings, visit the village, enjoy yourself, take great photos, walk, relax.

After lunch, you will leave for Tata, a 2.5 hour drive. You will stop at Tissint to see the saltwater pools that flow there creating unusual scenery.

It will be less than an hour drive to reach Foum Zguid where you will be accommodated in a charming riad. Take the time to relax and take a walk in the palm grove and around the old kasbah which is beautiful at sunset.

In the evening you can enjoy a delicious tajine at the riad followed by a night’s sleep in peace.

After a hearty breakfast, you will drive in 4x4 towards the Iriki National Park to join our guest house, The small house of Lake Iriki.

You will cross immense landscapes that change over the miles. We will show you the oasis of Laajirmia and its magnificent view on the mountains of the Moroccan colorado. Finally you will arrive at our house located next to the nomads village, Zaouait Sidi Abdenabi.

There we will welcome you with a delicious lunch prepared with fresh and local ingredients, vegetables grown in the oasis of the village.

You can enjoy the panorama on the vast plains dotted with acacias and in the distance the dunes of the Sahara as a mirage.

In the late afternoon, we will take you on a walking tour of the village to show you the agriculture within the oasis, the water management in this desert place as well as the traces of the past and the history of the village.

At night you can enjoy dinner outdoors, by the fire, enjoying the calm of nature in a very peaceful atmosphere. You will sleep in our guest house.

After breakfast, you will drive by 4x4 towards the Erg Chegaga. We will stop on the way to go for tea with the nomads and discover their way of life. We will then arrive at the sand dunes and then to the bivouac located near the highest dune in Morocco. You can settle in one of the large comfortable tents of the bivouac and have lunch on site.

The afternoon will be a free time to rest and enjoy the sandy landscapes all around you. At sunset, you will go for a camel ride and admire the beautiful nature for this magical moment.

In the evening, after dinner, you will be invited to come around the fire to share an evening of music and admire the stars of the desert.

You will enjoy a good night’s sleep in the silence of the desert.

In the morning, you will head back to Foum Zguid crossing the great plains of the dry lake of Iriki. Arrived in late morning at Foum Zguid, you will have the opportunity to have lunch and do some local shopping in the small shops of the city such as dates, olives, oranges and pomegranates, spices or traditional fabrics embroidered by women in the region.

Then you will reach Taliouine, 2h30 drive, where you will discover completely different landscapes at the foot of the Atlas. Between mountains and palm groves nestled in the hollow of the valleys. You can visit the saffron cooperative, which is the local specialty recognized worldwide and taste delicious dishes made with saffron in the hotel that welcomes you for the night.

The next day, you will continue your route by stopping in Taroudant to enjoy the day to discover the city, its ramparts, covered souks and various monuments. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of what is known as little Marrakech, known for its magnificent surrounding the old city.

At the end of the day, we will drive you to your hotel in Agadir located 1 hour from Taroudant
