Foum Zguid and the engravings of Djebel Bani

Go on a journey to the time of prehistory to discover the incredible engravings and cave paintings of the mountain of Djebel Bani. You will be welcomed in our guest house next to our nomadic village, to go hiking the next day in the Jbel Bani, looking for prehistoric engravings and paintings that constitute one of the cultural treasures of the region.

PROGRAM
Day 1: Foum Zguid - guesthouse
Foum Zguid departure by 4x4 in the afternoon towards our nomadic village, Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi. After riding on the track of the Paris Dakar and a break at the oasis of Laajirmia, you will join our guest house where you will be welcomed by a welcome tea. You will enjoy the large natural spaces and then the sunset on the plain dotted with acacia trees. We will serve you a delicious tagine cooked with local ingredients. You will then sleep in one of the small adobe rooms of the house.
Day 2: Guest house - engravings and paintings - bivouac in the dunes
After a hearty breakfast, you will walk behind the house towards a hike of about 2h30 where we will show you some of the engravings and cave paintings of the region. You will enjoy a magnificent hidden setting sheltered from the mountains, rocks and then canyons. You will then return for lunch to our guest house. In the afternoon you will join our bivouac in the dunes, 20 minutes away, to now dive into the dune landscapes. At sunset you will go for a camel ride, a suspended moment where you simply feel good. You will dine under our restaurant tent with a view of the dunes. After a time in music, you will sleep under one of the large comfortable tents of the bivouac, in absolute calm.
Day 3: Bivouac in the dunes - Foum Zguid
You will enjoy a last breakfast before taking the 4x4 track towards Foum Zguid, the opportunity to admire the magnificent and varied landscapes throughout this journey. We will take a break at a site of prehistoric fossils, still ancient marks of life in the past. You will arrive in the late morning at Foum Zguid.
