Day 2: Marrakech / Tizi N'Tichka Pass / Zagora / Faija Plateau (approximately 370km)
Early in the morning, we depart from Marrakech for a long journey southward, through incredibly diverse landscapes. We cross the Tizi N'Tichka Pass (the highest road in Morocco at 2260m) and reach the famous Draa Valley, passing through Ouarzazate. We then cross the Tizi N'Tinifift at an altitude of 1660m to arrive at Agdz, a fortified village that controls the northern entrance of the trail connecting Marrakech to Timbuktu. Once in Zagora, we traverse the stunning desert plateau of Faija until we reach the foothills of Djebel Bani, where the first dunes can be seen in the distance. We set up our first bivouac for a dinner under the southern stars.
Day 3: Faija Plateau / Oum Laachar Guattara Pass / Oued L'Mahassre (approximately 5.5 hours of walking)
After a wake-up in the heart of nature, we begin our hike into the vast desert landscapes. We meet our camel drivers, load the camels, and start crossing Djebel Bani, the natural border between the mountains and the desert plains. The walk across a rocky plateau leads us to the Oum Laachar Guattara Pass and then to the oasis of Diabi, where we have lunch in the shade. We set up camp for the night near a small spring at the foot of Djebel Abbes.
Day 4: Oued L'Mahassre / Chegaga Dunes (approximately 5.5 hours of walking)
After breakfast, we start our hike to pass through the Elabbas Gorges. Here, a vast sandy plain opens up, leading us towards the Chegaga dunes. At the base of the dunes, we set up our camp near the well used by nomads to water their animals.
Day 5: Chegaga Dunes / Erg El Ghoul / Hasi (well) (approximately 6 hours of walking)
You can enjoy the sunrise from the top of the dunes before we set off on a walk through the dunes. We have a lunch break in the shade of tamarisk trees. We reach Erg El Ghoul and set up our bivouac for the night.
Day 6: Erg El Ghoul / Iriki Plateau / Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi (approximately 6 hours of walking)
In the morning, we continue walking through small dunes to reach the Iriki Lake plateau. We walk until we reach Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi, where we spend our last night in a bivouac.
Day 7: Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi / Marrakech (approximately 65km of off-road track and 330km of road)
After this incredible adventure, we take the 4x4 vehicle along the off-road track to Foum Zguid. On the way, we stop for lunch in Tazenakht, a small town known for its saffron production and carpet weaving. We reach Marrakech, passing through the Tizi N'Tichka Pass. You will have dinner and spend the night in Marrakech, near Jemaa El Fnaa square, to experience its unique atmosphere.
