Iriki National Park
Moroccan desert
Maps of Southern Morocco
Our local agency is based in Foum Zguid to offer you stays in the Moroccan desert of the Iriqui National Park, between Foum Zguid and M'Hamid El Ghizlane.
Foum Zguid is 315km south of Marrakech, about a 5-6 hour drive, via the Tizi N'Tichka pass. It's a small town at the gateway to the desert, whose main road will take you onward to Tata and then Tafraoute for a magnificent loop to the ocean and then Agadir.
Foum Zguid is the fastest access point to the desert from Marrakech or Agadir. It is also the Moroccan desert that has remained the wildest and most authentic, far from mass tourism.
