PROGRAMME
Day 1: Foum Zguid - Bivouac in the dunes
Departure from Foum Zguid in the morning at 9am.
We will leave by 4x4 on the slopes of the Paris Dakar, in the Iriki National Park. The adventure begins on these rocky tracks that will lead us to the oasis of Laajirmia where we will take a first break to admire this magnificent view of the mountains of Moroccan Colorado which each have their nickname.
Finally, after covering 60km of slopes, we will arrive at our guest house for lunch. It is a place full of charm and colors, right next to our nomadic village, the only village in the region. You will enjoy a delicious lunch in the shade and facing the vast plains dotted with acacia trees.
Then in the early afternoon, you will leave by 4x4 for about 45 minutes until reaching the first tamarisks that announce the beginning of the dunes of Chegaga.
We will stop you near a bivouac where you can go on foot to the highest dune of Chegaga. The bravest can challenge themselves to climb at the top, otherwise other dunes will offer you magnificent views, perfect beautiful photos of the sea of sand.
Then you will return to the Erg El Mhazil at 16km, in our bivouac, located in the heart of the sand dunes, in a peaceful place. You will be welcomed by a welcome tea and you can settle in one of the large comfortable tents of the bivouac.
At sunset, you will go for a camel ride in the dunes. The opportunity to see these landscapes from a different angle and in an unusual way. In the evening, you will enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner followed by a relaxing evening where you can admire the stars, enjoy the silence of the desert.
You will then sleep in a comfortable bed, very quiet.
Day 2: Bivouac in the dunes - Erg Chegaga - Guest house - Foum Zguid
After breakfast, in a 4x4, we will take the road to Foum Zguid, taking breaks along the way that are always an opportunity for great panoramic views and to see a site of prehistoric fossils.
