Circuit Ouarzazate - Zagora - desert

4 days 3 nights

Leave from the mythical city of the departure of the caravans of the past, Ouarzazate towards the Sahara desert, passing through the valley of Drâa for a journey to the 1001 landscapes in the south of Morocco.

TOUR PROGRAM

Day 1 : Ouarzazate - Agdz - Tamnougalt - Zagora

In the morning, departure from your hotel at 9am with our private driver.

You will leave for the valley of the Drâa which offers incredible landscapes where palm groves draw lines of greenery in the middle of ochre mountains.

You will go to Agdz and Tamnougalt right next door to go see the ksar of Tamnougalt. This ancient walled village overlooks the palm grove. A 3-century-old architectural treasure and incredibly well preserved. You will be able to wander freely through the alleys or take a guide for a visit to the heart of the history of the great families of yesteryear.

You then continue on the road to Zagora where you can have lunch and then join the hotel that will welcome you for the night. You will be housed in the heart of the palm grove. Enjoy the afternoon to stroll in the palm grove or visit the city center with its artisan shops.

You will have dinner at the hotel, followed by a quiet night.

Day 2 : Zagora - Foum Zguid - Désert

In the morning, after a good breakfast, you will leave towards Foum Zguid crossing the desert plains of the Faija plateau.

Arrived at Foum Zguid, you can have lunch in the small town center and soak up the atmosphere of the gates of the desert, between peaceful population and convoys of adventurers.  

In the early afternoon, your 4x4 is waiting for you to start the adventure towards the desert.

You will cross the slopes of the Paris Dakar, in the Iriki National Park, to an oasis at the foot of amazing mountains called the Colorado of the Moroccan desert. There will then be 1 hour of track to the dunes of the Sahara.

You will join our bivouac, alone in the middle of the dunes, where you can settle your belongings in one of the large comfortable tents.

It’s time for you to walk around the bivouac to admire the dunes, enjoy these moments of serenity and the spectacle of the sunset over the dunes.

In the evening we will serve you a delicious Moroccan dinner and you will enjoy a good night’s sleep in absolute silence.

Day 3 : Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi - bivouac dans les dunes

In the morning, you will leave by 4x4 to our village. We will take you to visit our nomadic village, Zaouait Sidi Abdenabi, to share with you the life of the inhabitants in these places. You will discover the agriculture within the oasis with its water management system. We will also show you the vestiges of the past that constitute the history of the village. It is located a few hundred meters on foot from our guest house. We will welcome you for lunch at home.

In the afternoon, you will go for a camel trek to the dunes, about 2H. You will join our bivouac for a second night in the heart of the dunes.

In the evening after dinner, you can contemplate the magnificent starry sky, specific to the desert. Then you will sleep under the comfortable tents of the bivouac, in the quiet of the desert.

Day 4 : désert- Foum Zguid - Ouarzazate

After a hearty breakfast at the bivouac, we will leave in a 4x4 towards Foum Zguid for the return journey. Your driver will then drive you to Tazenakht, the capital of the Berber carpet where you can go see a state cooperative in the bustling city center. You can have lunch in Tazenakht then take the road to Ouarzazate for an arrival at your hotel in the late afternoon.
