Several spaces to serve you:

  • The colorful living room, cool in summer and warm in winter, sheltered from the wind. Perfect for a little nap afterwards.

  • the panoramic terrace, for lunch in the shade with a 360° view of the dunes, Jbel Bani and the village of Zaouiat.

  • the patio, much appreciated for having breakfast in the sun

Where is our Lake Iriki restaurant located?

We are right next to the village of Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi.

Halfway between Foum Zguid and M'hamid, making it an ideal stop on your journey.

In the distance you will see the white marabout of the village, at the foot of Jbel Bani. You must then leave the tracks that cross the middle of the former dried-up lake.

  1. Where to stay at Lake Iriki?

Our guest house "The Little House on Lake Iriki"

Our guesthouse offers small rooms that are ideal for travelers seeking simplicity. We have three double rooms (with either a double bed or single beds) and a shared shower and toilet area on the side of the house.

A comfortable bivouac for sleeping in the dunes

Opposite our house, in the dunes, crossing the dried-up Lake Iriki, you will reach our comfortable bivouac in the heart of the dunes.

It is an absolutely calm and unspoiled natural place where you can enjoy the silence of the desert and the beauty of the dunes.

With a maximum capacity of 30 beds, we offer a high-end service with 7 large family tents, each equipped with beds and bed linen of excellent quality.

Modern shower and toilet facilities, a cozy restaurant lounge, panoramic views of the dunes, excellent cuisine – everything is in place to give you a unique experience.

  1. Carefully prepare for your crossing of Iriki National Park, whether by 4x4 or motorcycle.

The equipment:

Whether you are travelling in a 4x4 or on a motorcycle, it is important to have a vehicle adapted to this type of terrain.

If you're driving a 4x4, choose a vehicle with sufficient ground clearance. Make sure you have a spare tire and the necessary equipment to change it.

When it comes to motorcycles, opt for sport bikes rather than heavy bikes.

Always pack essentials in case of a breakdown: a charged phone and battery, water, food, and a blanket or warm clothing. Save our phone number: +212 611 069 843. We live locally and can send assistance if needed.

Plan your route beforehand and check the local weather forecast.

If you have any doubts about your ability to make the journey, we can arrange a support vehicle that will show you the way or accompany you.

The trail in Iriki National Park:

From Foum Zguid onwards, it's the rockiest section for about 30km. Drive slowly and avoid large stones.

Next, you'll be able to enjoy a bit of respite when you enter the grounds of the old, dried-up Lake Iriki, which are flat and dry. Still, remain cautious and keep your distance because of the dust clouds that form behind you as you pass.

After Erg Chegaga and as you approach M'Hamid, the sandiest section awaits you. The easiest thing to do is to stay on the main tracks.
